Mzansi Taal

Short Left

Phrase

It is a phrase derived from everyday South African “taxi lingo”, used by commuters to inform the driver when one wants to get off the taxi.

A commuter will say “Sho’t left driver” to indicate that they want to get off nearby, usually where the driver can stop on the left hand side of a street.
